Loren's inspiration: "This painting was inspired by my memory of my early years working as a cowboy on ranches in eastern Montana.  It was at that time my oldest daughter, Rebecca, was born.  I wanted to show a young cowboy who just became a father - a young man who can tame the toughest bronc but who has such tenderness and love for his newborn son"
