"Williamsburg, Virginia, December 2011"

12 x 9 inches, Oil on Canvas Board

Williamsburg, Virginia is a few miles upstream from the original 1607 colony at Jamestown, Virginia.  Williamsburg became the capital of Virginia in 1699.  Occupied by British government officials and troops leading up to the American Revolution, Williamsburg was a backdrop for American democracy.  The town is beautifully preserved today.  Around every corner is a scene worth painting.
